Muse Architects CC was established in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa in 2008. The Muse team’s combined years of experience are extensive but we pride ourselves on the passion and fresh ideas which we bring to the table as a fairly young company.
We are very much practically involved in all our projects and our team is up to any challenge. We constantly seek innovation and we apply our working knowledge of different materials to experimentation with different solutions while working within our client’s budget.
Although we focus mainly on architecture and interior design, we do not believe that these elements should be seen in isolation and we apply an integrated approach to our projects while making use of our skills in 3D visualisation and graphic design, business concept development and model making, or any combination thereof.
We never approach any project with preconceived ideas and, we not only take pleasure in our work, but also in providing our clients with exactly what they need as well as what they really want.
Phillip Loots, founder and owner of Muse Architects, spent four years in London where he was part of a prestigious and award-winning team of designers who worked on high-end projects, published in a number of well-known architectural magazines. Upon returning to his hometown of Port Elizabeth in 2006, he recognised the architectural growth of the city and surrounds and the need for passionate designers who understood and respected what their clients wanted and needed.
Despite his commitment to completing a master’s degree in architecture at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University at the time, he also took on several private projects. Two years on, the demand for his skills and expertise had grown by such leaps and bounds that Muse Architects CC was born.
The practice has since grown to include a number of talented architectural and interior design staff.
